Our Commitment to Quality At TorqueStitch, we stand behind the quality of our structural systems. We guarantee our products to be free from manufacturing defects for a period of 5 years, as outlined in the detailed terms of our Limited Warranty below.
Warranty Coverage
- The warranty covers replacement of defective components in the rare event that a TorqueStitch strap fails due to lateral loading or deteriorates because of manufacturing defects or materials’ workmanship.
- We will furnish new replacement products for any defective materials.
- Note that failures due to natural events (like earthquakes, erosion, foundation settlement) or soil pressure uplift are excluded from this warranty.
What’s Included
- This warranty specifically pertains to the quality of TorqueStitch Structural System components and does not extend to installation craftsmanship.
- Installation quality and service guarantees should be sought directly from your licensed contractor installer.
- Warranty limitations: The spacing of components should be no more than 1 foot on center. Our components are optimized for tensile strength under lateral loading and do not claim efficacy for shear loading due to settlement.
- The warranty is valid for the original owner only and is nontransferable.
Additional Warranty Details
- There are no warranties, expressed or implied, by TorqueStitch of any nature other than what is stated in this document, including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose in connection with our products.
- TorqueStitch will not be liable for any damages, including remote or consequential damages, resulting from any warranty claims.
Contractor’s Responsibilities
- Contractors reserve the right to warrant labor.
- It is recommended that contractors maintain records of the installation process, including the torque achieved for each strap, take pictures of the original repair clearly identifying strap spacing, and retain these records.
- In case of repair failure, the contractor has the right to repair only the area of failure.
- Some cosmetic variation may occur post-repair. Costs related to water replacement, chemicals, land, and loss of use are not covered.
- The warranty is void unless the account has been paid in full.
How to Claim Your Warranty
- Should you need to claim under this warranty, please provide a certified letter with written notice to TorqueStitch within 30 days after discovering any defect.
- Include details of the defect’s location and any additional information necessary for our investigation.
- Photos of the product showing the claimed defect must accompany your notice.
- Proof of being a Covered Person, as defined in Section 1, is required for warranty claims.
- The product must be installed according to TorqueStitch’s printed installation requirements and comply with all applicable building codes.
Exclusions and Limitations
- This warranty does not cover damage or defects from improper handling or installation, modifications post-shipping, neglect, abuse, or misuse, among other exclusions detailed in the warranty document.
- TorqueStitch is not liable for incidental, consequential, or special damages based on any legal theory.
Modifications or Discontinuation of Products
- We reserve the right to discontinue or modify our products at any time without notice. In such cases, we will fulfill our warranty obligations through replacement or reimbursement.
