Revolutionize Your Concrete Repairs with TorqueStitch

Discover the lasting solution to concrete cracks. Engineered for simplicity, designed for durability.

TorqueStitchTM is a structural system to permanently stitch fractures that develop in reinforced concrete structures such as swimming pools, foundation slabs, driveways, decks, and industrial facilities.

TorqueStitch Concrete Stitches are precision engineered to restore the tensile strength across the crack, reestablish compression, and stabilize the structure. The stitches are fabricated with a machined face and slot, welded to a high quality A-706 hook, hot dip galvanized, and installed in a niche below the concrete surface. The system works by tightening down the anchor wedge to post-tension the rebar stitch, inhibiting the crack from expanding and getting larger. The anchoring mechanism consisting of a threaded stud with an outwardly flared cone-shaped end. Tightening of the nut pulls the cone-shaped stud end into the expander sleeve, wedging it outward and locking the anchor into the concrete base material. The system is engineered to transfer load away from the fracture, thus creating a long-lasting fix.

Features:

  • Available in Various Quantities – 5 and 10 stitch sets
  • Requires no special tools
  • Stitch tensioning performance does not rely on glues or epoxies
  • Precision machined – Tightens down securely on flat or outward curved surfaces
  • 12-inch lengths – Locks into solid areas of reinforced concrete
  • Weld extends 1/2-inch into machined head – Stitch is highly resistant to failure
  • Zinc galvanized – Prevents corrosion
  • Warranty – Guaranteed against manufacturers defects

Performance Characteristics:

When professionally installed, the TorqueStitchsystem provides a permanent structural solution that:

1) increases strength and stiffness;
2) transfers load away from the fracture;
3) restores tensile strength across the crack; and
4) inhibits cracks from expanding or getting larger.

TorqueStitchTM is registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (www.uspto.gov).

FAQs About Concrete Stitches and TorqueStitch

What are concrete stitches?

Concrete stitches are specialized devices used to repair and reinforce cracks in concrete structures. They work by restoring the tensile strength across the fracture, preventing further expansion, and stabilizing the structure.

How does TorqueStitch work?

TorqueStitch works by post-tensioning the rebar stitch within the concrete, transferring the load away from the fracture. This is achieved by tightening an anchor wedge, which locks the stitch into the concrete, creating a durable and long-lasting repair.

Where can TorqueStitch be used?

TorqueStitch concrete stitches are versatile and can be used in various reinforced concrete structures such as swimming pools, foundation slabs, driveways, decks, and industrial facilities.

What are the advantages of using TorqueStitch over traditional repair methods?

Unlike traditional methods that may rely on glues or epoxies, TorqueStitch concrete stitches do not require special tools and offers superior performance characteristics. It is designed for durability, preventing corrosion, and is highly resistant to failure.

Tips for Maintaining Concrete Structures

  1. Regular Inspections: Periodically inspect your concrete structures for early signs of cracks or damage.
  2. Proper Drainage: Ensure proper drainage around concrete structures to prevent water accumulation, which can lead to cracks.
  3. Sealant Application: Apply a high-quality sealant to concrete surfaces to protect them from moisture and chemical damage.
  4. Load Management: Avoid overloading concrete slabs and surfaces beyond their designed capacity to prevent stress-induced cracks.
  5. Professional Repairs: When cracks are detected, seek professional repair services promptly to prevent further damage.
